Peter Glynn is a seasoned and passionate business builder with extensive experience in strategy, business development, negotiations, market assessment and financial evaluations within the energy and life science sectors. He is a demonstrated leader and innovative problem solver, with the ability to quickly master the intricacies of diverse industries and new technologies.
Formerly with McKinsey & Company, Peter also served as a business developer for BP Amoco, and has worked with early stage ventures in both biotechnology and Internet-based services. He has provided business leadership on initiatives ranging from multi-billion dollar LNG and gas monetization projects to pharmaceutical drug development.
Peter holds a Masters of International Business Studies (MIBS) from the University of South Carolina, a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Geology from Duke University, and he has also studied at Bristol University in the UK and at the Luigi Bocconi Business School in Milan, Italy.
Houston Lane is an energetic leader with a talent for molding abstract business concepts into practical, sustainable solutions. He began his career at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York City, where he was an investment banker in the Media, Telecommunications, and Transportation Group.
Following his tenure there, Houston was named VP of Finance at Clear Channel Communications, and was subsequently involved in the acquisition and integration of $8 billion worth of transactions of all sizes.
He then proceeded to become Engagement Manager at the Houston office of McKinsey & Company, where he served a diverse group of clients on projects largely related to strategy and finance. Upon leaving McKinsey, he was an executive leader for a series of growth businesses in the software and construction industries, two of which were eventually sold to larger enterprises.
Houston graduated from the University of Texas at Austin Magna Cum Laude. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School, graduating in the top five per cent of his class.
Rodrigo Herrera, Ph.D., is a talent strategy consultant with over a decade of demonstrated results focusing on corporate strategy development, business transformation, talent management, operations improvement, and cost-reduction. He began his career at McKinsey & Co. and then was a founding member of the Houston office of Katzenbach Partners LLC. He is highly effective at developing cross-organizational collaboration and relationships in national and international settings with a proven record of generating tangible business results.
According to his clients, his success as a trusted advisor stems from his passion for finding and addressing root causes hidden behind the presenting issues facing an organization. His value-add comes from helping to build capability within his client organizations at the individual, team, and front-line levels.
Most recently, Rodrigo was the Chief People Officer for KIPP Houston, the largest region of a nationally-renowned system of charter schools. While he serves clients in a broad range of industries, he has a particular passion for education. He recently received a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the Broad Foundation, newly accredited program.
Rodrigo was an A.B. Duke Scholar at Duke University and received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
Matt has more than 20 years of leadership, operating and consulting experience in the energy and utilities industry. He has served a broad range of clients, including Entergy, E.on, Energy Future Holdings (formerly TXU) GE power, AT&T, Inc., Reliant Energy; and Shell. Matt has worked with clients to deliver industry-leading performance. His work has focused on growth strategy, organization design, M&A and valuation, business and capability building, service operations, commodity price risk management and capital productivity.
Matt was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company in Houston where he focused on growth, risk management and M&A for the energy sector and service operations for the telecom sector. Matt also formerly served as Principal Financial Officer at TXU Energy (TXUE) in Dallas where he led TXUE’s risk management committee, strategic and financial planning, GAAP reporting, capital stewardship, commodity price risk management, pricing, and electric power procurement.
Matt holds a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated first in a graduating class of approximately 5,000 students with a GPA of 4.0/4.0.
